Amanah

Amanah was a Jewish-Muslim joint project in Malmö, founded in 2017. Due to the rising tensions and mistrust that came out of October 7, Amanah is now reconfiguring to find ways to rebuild the trust both in between the religous communities aswell as in larger society.

Amanah aimed to build trust and faith, with an Imam and a Rabbi working togeather against discrimination and extremism. Amanah also wanted to bring a new angle of discussion regarding identity, intergration and religion to the society in large. Amanah organized meetings in schools in the Malmö region, to talk about differencies and liknesses between Judaism and Islam. Amamah also organized Beit Midrash/Madrasa eavenings – open learning sessions and comparisions of traditional texts. The Robert Weil Family Foundation was one of the co founders of Amanah.
