Our organization

Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, the Robert Weil Family Foundation is part of Proventus. Since its establishment in 2014, when culture became a recognized purpose for Swedish foundations, it serves as the main platform for Robert Weil’s lifelong commitment to society and culture, which was previously pursued through Proventus. Today, Proventus provides the funding that enables the foundation to fulfill its mission, and the two organizations also share administrative functions.

In 1987, Robert Weil founded Magasin III together with David Neuman. Over the years, Magasin III evolved from an emerging exhibition venue to a museum housing one of Europe’s leading collections of contemporary art. Today, the Robert Weil Family Foundation and Magasin III operate as a unified entity, working together to safeguard democracy and promote dialogue in close collaboration with a broad network of partners.

Proventus AB is a family owned investment company that has been active in European capital markets for over 50 years. It was founded in 1969 and is owned by Robert Weil and family. Proventus is since 2017 organised as a family office, focusing on long term asset management based on its own independent analysis.
