Gaga for peace and justice!
Gaga is a movement language developed by Ohad Naharin, Batsheva Dance Company’s legendary house choreographer and former artistic director. It can be practiced by anyone – not just trained dancers – and inspires exploration of movement, imagination, and the body in an open and inclusive setting.
On October 25, Ohad Naharin taught an online Gaga class in support of Standing Together, a grassroots movement bringing together Jewish and Palestinian citizens of Israel working for peace, justice and equality, which the Robert Weil Family Foundation proudly champions. All proceeds from the event went directly to Standing Together. The class could be attended from anywhere in the world and was taught in English.
Following the signing of a ceasefire and hostage deal, Batsheva Dance Company insists on continuing to take meaningful steps toward a sustainable peace – and invites everyone to join the movement.
Take a stand for peace and justice – and move with purpose.
